FINANCE MANAGER-CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT

Opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager to take responsibility for the financial management and related functions of a Micro Finance business.

Key requirements:

• Relevant Financial Degree
• CAqualification-i.e. FCA
• Member of BICA
• At least 10 years post qualification experience
• Experience with credit and microfinance operations highly advantageous
• Experience in Africa (outside SA) advantageous
• Experience of working at a Big 4 accounting firm in audit advantageous
• Solid experience in all aspects of financial reporting and management, including financial disciplines, systems, controls, compliance, governance, reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, technical accounting issues, treasury, funding, taxation, foreign exchange, IT and audit management as well as strategic functions.
• Excellent communication and people management skills

The successful candidate will be based in Gaborone and report directly to the Divisional CFO on a day-to-day basis, and the Divisional CEO, with reporting to the Board as well as group CEO and CFO, offering exposure to all aspects of the business. Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be a self-starter, capable of working well under pressure and thinking on your feet. A hard-working individual, happy to roll up your sleeves you will lead by example and get involved with the business. A fully qualified and experienced CA is essential, this is NOT negotiable.
