SALES MANAGER – TRIDENT PALAPYE STORE

Functions/ Responsibilities:

• To develop an annual sales and promotional strategy and action plan that will achieve sales targets for the store

CORE ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop an annual sales and promotions strategy and an action plan that will achieve sales targets
• Engage regularly, and ensure integration of role players (ROM, RSM, Store Manager, and Buyer understand the sales targets & action plans.
• Drive sales and customer retention.
• Recruit New Customers in line with set targets.
• Sustainably grow sales and margin for assigned group of customers.
• Monitor and report back on market trends such as competitor activity, opportunities, threats etc.
• Initiate and implement new business opportunities
• Consolidate promotional post mortem and use learning’s & sales information to drive future promotional plans
• Utilise analysis of past promotional activity by store against targets and take corrective action where required.
• Margin – Customer profitability; pricing and promotional activity
• Expenses – monitoring of all categories budgets per category at store level
• Drives sales and category growth by implementing, measuring and managing sales and customer service.
• Manage the compilation of Implement and monitor expenditure against budget to ensure spending remains within the set parameters
• Formulate action plans to address deviations from budget
• Establish in accordance with store profile the correct range composition and required stock cover
• To critically manage Range Composition and apply Space Management principles.
• Communicate effectively, maintaining relationships

Requirements:

• BGCSE, Relevant tertiary education in Administration, Finance and or related field
• 5+ years’experience in a FMCG environment in a related role.
• A valid Driver’s license
• Should be able to communicate in both Setswana & English
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skillsand knowledge of Arch System is an advantage
