Position Purpose

This role applies safety standards in executing the responsibility abstraction, treatment of wastewater, and the monitoring of processes for compliance to set standards. It includes maintaining reliability of effluent in line with set standards.

Responsibilities include leading wastewater attendants as well as operation of but not limited to valves, pumps, boreholes, pump stations and reservoirs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective wastewater treatment
• Ensure compliance to set wastewater quality standards
• Control and operate equipment such as sludge, recycled and desludging plant
• Monitoring and analysing operational data and taking appropriate remedial measures
• Monitor and trouble shoot operating equipment
• Operate plant to achieve optimal levels of efficiency and availability
• Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental issues
• Operate control and monitoring systems.
• Participates in health and safety programs

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Water Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering or related fields
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 years related work experience

Remuneration

Salary   :  An attractive Salary Package

Commensurate to the market

Leave   :  25 working days per annum
