2. Ensure patient rights and education protocol is followed pro-actively to participate in the care management system.
Accurately documented all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications, discharge instructions and follow-up care and ensuring continuity among nursing teams.

3.Assures quality care to clients by adhering to therapeutic standards measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards

4.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with infection prevention and control procedures, rules, and regulations; and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

5.Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

6.Demonstrate professional judgement and accountability towards themselves, clients and their profession

7.Provide effective cost management by managing all stock used, equipment inventories and hours of work in accordance with company policies and protocols.

8.To provide health education to clients, which is relevant to their health needs.

•Operating knowledge of ventilating, humifying & Ivac machines
•Demonstrated ability to deliver high patient care.
•Working knowledge of dialysis laboratory tests & medications.
•Excellent knowledge of emergency obstetric nursing.
•Knowledge of oncology treatment procedures, facilities and equipment.
•Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
•Professional judgement & accountability when assigning or delegating nursing care
•Critical thinking, empathetic, resilient, compassionate and dedicated.

REQUIREMENTS

•Degree/Degree in Nursing plus certification in area of specialization.
•At least 3 years’ post qualification experience in a similar position.
•Basic Life Support [BLS], Advanced Cardiac Life Support [ACLS] certifications, Added advantage Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS], ITLS
•Current Registration with nurses and midwifery Council of Botswana.
