Benson Craig (Pty) Ltd is the only cigarette manufacturer in Botswana and was initially established through a government supported industrial diversification project but is now wholly privately funded. The company invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position below.

TOBACCO FACTORY – PLANT ENGINEER

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

• Design and implementation of all plant projects
• Installation and Commissioning of tobacco machines
• Training of factory personnel in operation and maintenance of cigarette making and packing machines
• Planned maintenance of all tobacco machines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• BSC/BTech Mechanical and Production Engineering Degree
• A minimum of 15 years experience in the cigarette and allied industries
• Must be a member of any recognized Engineering bodies
• Proven track record of installations and commissioning of tobacco machines and references

COMPETENCES

• Competent in designing plant layouts, installations and commissioning tobacco machinery
• Must be competent in operator and maintenance training standards in the cigarette industry
• Must be competent in all facets of tobacco and cigarette manufacturing standards
