Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd is a Soda Ash and Salt producing Company situated at Sua Pan in Botswana, approximately 180 km by tarred rood northwest of Francistown. The Company employs over 500 employees of which close to 300 are unionised. Employees and their families live in Sowa Town, about 20 km from the plant site. The town boasts of recreational facilities, which include restaurant, tennis, squash, swimming and golf. There is also an excellent English medium pre-primary, primary and secondary school as well as public primary and junior secondary schools.

JOB SUMMARY

To coordinate a cost-effective maintenance and repair function of the vehicles workshop which comprises both heavy and light vehicles fleet, including plant machinery to acceptable Industry standards of safety and workmanship in all areas of responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ideally ‘O’ levels plus Notional Croft Certificate preferably in Heavy Plant Mechanic or Auto Mechanics. Eight years post qualification experience with at least 2 years at Supervisory level.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System e.g. DMS 2000. Syspro, BOAS
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• A driver’s license
