are responsible for enforcing compliance with established SHEC Standards and procedures, therefore you must be familiar with the Mining Safety, Health and Environment requirements.

The positions are based at the Mine site between Maun and Sehithwa, therefore, you must have the interest and ability to work in remote regions in a context of a multicultural work environment While developing the first mechanised mine in Botswana, we offer a

A valid class B driver’s license is a must.

LIGHT VEHICLE & HEAVY MACHINERY EQUIPMENT FOREMAN

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

To supervise and direct the maintenance execution of owner mobile and genset equipment across all sites, and ensure optimal plant availability and reliability, in order to achieve production targets.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for

• Developing short/long term maintenance schedules, taking cognizance of: service/ maintenance requirements, maintenance standards to be met, available resources, planned projects, developments in the field and major overhauls.
• Co-ordinating the implementation of the maintenance system to ensure the optimum availability of equipment/machinery.
• Managing and controlling projects as/when required, taking cognizance of project principles, specifications, time parameters, health, safety and legal requirements, inter alia;
• planning, coordinating and controlling projects from execution to close out, ensuring that time and cost parameters are adhered to
• Prioritizing work to be undertaken, taking into account the critical nature of faults found and the impact of faults on the operations, in conjunction with the Maintenance Planner and other relevant experts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• National Craft Certificate in Diesel Mechanics or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 8 years post qualification in a Mechanical Engineering field,
• At least 5 years in a mining mobile and fixed plant maintenance environment, 2 years of which must have been in a      supervisory role.
