ACCREDITATION CONSULTANT: INTELLECTUS CAMPUS, BOTSWANA

Intellectus Campus is a fast developing private international training institution, with a vision to become a College of Health and Social Sciences by 2025. We have a presence in over 15 countries globally, with physical campuses in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Eswatini.

In line with the company’s expansion strategy, IC is looking to establish its presence and activities into Botswana. Hence, the company is seeking the services of a very seasoned and proactive consultant to assist with the registration and accreditation of Intellectus Campus by Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA), and other relevant regulatory and professional bodies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete a feasibility study on training needs in line with Botswana’s national priorities, relevant social, political and economic needs.
• Obtain the necessary set of documentation / accreditation criteria for an institution to be accredited for a Consultancy and Tertiary / Higher Education in Botswana.
• Consult and provide detailed information to the Institution regarding set accreditation requirements/criteria of the BQA including all relevant documentation.
• Registration of non-credit bearing courses and credit bearing courses and qualifications by BQA.
• Align QMS to meet the requirements of the BQA
• Source the relevant Educational Staff and Campus administrator as and when needed.
• Liaison between IC and BQA until Accreditation is granted to IC and attend to all remedial requests, should any be identified, in line with BQA criteria and requirements.
• Sourcing of a temporary training facility that meets the requirements of the BQA
• Provide support and ad hoc services in terms of the accreditation approval

MINIMUM REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Thorough understanding of the Botswana Training Authority frameworks and systems, and their workings.
• In depth understanding of Education / Skills Development industry within Botswana
• Experience in training; alignment of training needs to BQA approved standards.
• Experience in facilitating/ Assessing & Moderating BQA training programmes
• Experience in quality assurance within the BQA.
• Excellent comprehension of the challenges faced in the Botswana Education/Training and Skills Development landscape and proven ability to overcome such.
