PROCUREMENT MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide strategic leadership in the procurement of supplies, services and works as well as the disposal of assets for the Sir Ketumile Masi re Teaching Hospital m a timely and efficient manner.

CORE DUTIES

• Manages, coordinates and provides leadership and administrative direction in the provision of Procurement and Logistics services
• Advises on human resource requirements for the department and promotes continuous professional development
• Coordinates, direct and oversees the development of SKMTH procurement plan
• Develops and promotes the mandatory implementation of appropriate operational policies and procedures
• Develops, monitors implementation and evaluates contracts
• Coordinates and oversees the development of budget estimates for material, equipment and service requirement
• Oversees and coordinates the utilization of SKMTH funds

QUALIFICATIONS

The applicant should at least have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in procurement supply chain management or CIPS
• A Master’s Degree in any relevant field will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

At least 6-8 years of experience, two (2) years of which must have served in a procurement-related environment

• Should have demonstrated exceptionally high professional competency and integrity in procurement and asset disposal and supplies management
• Experience in a hospital setting will be an added advantage
