Finance Business Partner – Commercial Banking

The incumbent will be expected to act as a trusted business advisor to provide and deliver financial and operational support to Commercial Banking business and assist to drive informed decisions that adds value and impacts the business.

Coordination of the external audit process, ensuring that information required is made available, and that significant issues raised by the audit are speedily resolved.

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, tax reporting and other regulatory requirements.

Effective teamwork, leadership, self-management and alignment with the bank’s values.

Produce monthly financial performance reports (balance sheets, P&L, cost reports amongst others) for Commercial Banking business and provide value added insight of all financial components.

Ensure delivery of robust weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts through analysis and insightful support, ensuring that all variances are challenged and understood

Help business unit Managers to understand performance metrics through monthly performance discussions.

Support Commercial banking Management team in decision making through business reporting of key performance indicators.

Support audit process ensuring that materials to support half year and year end balances have been rigorously tested beforehand.

Key requirements for this role

Degree in Finance or Accounting with ACCA/CIMA professional qualification

5+ years’ experience of providing insight and challenge to the business from a strategic and operational viewpoint

Working with large amounts of complex data to provide a concise analysis for Senior management Financial analytics capabilities, high level of accuracy and Influencing skills

Experience of business partnering across all levels of the business
