ACCOUNTANT

THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated profes­sional who will be responsible for Accounting and Taxation functions to service our client base.

This role will be based in Gaborone and is a newly created position.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This is a pivotal role that requires a dynamic and significantly experienced individual to manage and control the accounting and taxation services to our Clients of a multiplicity of busi­ness categories.

This role requires expertise in financial statement prepara­tion and taxation related functions. The ability to multi-task numerous tasks is essential.

The candidate must be a qualified Chartered Accountant recognised by BICA and have a minimum of 4 years audit experience.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES WILL INCLUDE

1. Engagement with clients and provide solutions to their requirements
2. Preparation and review of annual financial statements
3. Oversee compliance with Accounting standards
4. Developing IT systems for the standardization of financial reporting
5. Taxation and compliance with relevant legislation
6. Ensuring submission deadlines are met
7. Continuous interaction with BURS
8. Effective development of the accounting and taxation teams
