CREDIT CONTROLLER – BoFiNet

CREDIT CONTROLLER (5 YEAR CONTRACT)

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the credit-control policy and procedures, customer collections, review debtors ageing, issue customer account statements and resolve customer queries.

1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Checks customer’s credit and approve or deny applications based on company standards and requirements
• Conducts daily reconciliation of customer account payments, and ensure payments are captured on time and accurately to the correct accounts.
• Ensures daily release of customer orders for accounts in good credit standing.
• Follows up with hierarchy approvers for releasing of customer orders.
• Follows up with the customers all overdues and ensuring that they are settled
• Reviews debtors ageing analysis weekly and ensures closure of all queries and unresolved open items
• Maintains credit policies and procedures and ensures that they are adhered to.
• Monitors debtor balances to ensure they are maintained within the required days.
• Liaise with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team
• Maintains call report logs for all customers
• Prepare and share customer statements periodically per company guidelines.
• Participates in the business and operational studies and ad hoc projects as requested.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualification: Degree in Accounting and Finance (or Equivalent).

Experience: At least Three-years’ experience in credit control

ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
