Workshop Supervisor

Job Description

• An experienced mechanic needed, for trucks and small cars (Mercedes, Hino & Sino Trucks)
• To work with minimal supervision
• To help train mechanics and mechanics assistants.
• Help mechanics evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and inspect their repairs completed.
• Ensure proper performance and safety of vehicles and equipment.
• Correct unsafe working conditions and report any un-correctable conditions to the workshop manager.
• Ability to train mechanics to rebuild, replace or repair vehicle components, assemblies and systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, etc…
• Check and repair electrical and cooling systems.
• Do welding and perform minor body repair work.
• Estimate time and materials required to perform major repairs.
• To train mechanics to analyse engine performance and perform tune ups as needed.
• Be on standby and attend vehicle break downs at any time.
• Make runs for spare parts and negotiate prices
• Make frequent trips to the company branches to access the fleet and equipment as well as assist mechanics with mechanical work while on site.

Heavy duty driver’s license is an added advantage
