As part of the Perenti Group, Barminco employs over 4,300 people, at 22 projects in seven countries. In line with an opportunity that has presented itself in our Botswana operations, we are seeking applications from qualified Jumbo Operators, Bogger Operators, Charge Up Crew, Production/Longhole Drillers, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics/ HD Fitters, Automine Technicians, and Auto Electricians experienced to join our team. This positions will be based at Zone 5 under Khoemacau Copper Mining (KCM) located near Maun in the north west of Botswana.

We are actively seeking to recruit a number of experienced underground mining personnel for our operation in Botswana.

• Jumbo Operators – minimum 10 years underground machinery operating experience
• Bogger Operators – Production, development and tele-remote
• Charge Up Crew-Blasting Licence
• Production/Longhole Drillers – Sandvik Underground equipment experience
• Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics/ HD Fitters – Must be trade qualified
• Automine Technicians Must be trade qualified with Sandvik experience
• Auto Electricians- Experience with Sandvik underground equipment

Key Requirements;

• Minimum 5 Years Underground Experience
• Extensive underground mining experience (essential)
• All valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences (RPL’s)
• Valid Manual Drivers Licence
• Current National Police Clearance (valid within three months)
• A strong focus on safety and hazard identification

The successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment selection criteria, including medical, a drug and alcohol screen, site specific clearances, induction and training
