Botswana Vaccine Institute is now seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced person to fill the following vacant position:

PROJECTS ACCOUNTANT (Fixed-Term Contract-3 Years)

Main purpose of the job

To organize and oversee the processing of accounting records and information to ensure the accurate and timely production of accounts and the timely and accurate provision of projects cost reports (variance analysis reports) in accordance with laid down procedures and schedules, accounting policies and standards.

Position Requirements

Education:                                              

Accounting Degree or equivalent

Prof/Tech:                                              

CIMA / ACCA or equivalent; member of Botswana Institute Chartered

Accountants Experience: Three years post qualification accounting experience in computerized, commercial accounting environment. Experience in Project Finance would be an added advantage.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Officer will be responsible for the day to day supervision and checking of accounting documentation of prime entry, reconciliation and data management of basic accounts and the preparation of the routine management information.
