Purpose of the Role
To serve food and beverages to staff and patients and clean canteen facilities
Key Job Responsibilities
- Cleans canteen premises and ablution facilities using recommended cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Collects and washes all kitchen untensils and food containers
- Distributes and serves meals and beverages to patients and staff as required.
- Empties and cleans rubbish bins in and around the canteen premises
- Orders and Collects grocery from grocery stores as per laid down procedures
- Receives and checks food and consumables stores to ensure correct quality and quantity of items received.
Other Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in area of responsibility
- Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets
Education
- O Level
Experience
2 year relevant experience in a catering environment
Technical Competencies
- Customer service
