TECHNICAL SPECIALIST – HVAC SYSTEMS (5 YEAR CONTRACT) RE-ADVERTISEMENT

Main Purpose of the Job: 

The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance execution process, policy, procedures, and standards of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning) systems deployed in the Data Centre facility. During the construction of the facility, the incumbent will observe the installations and become familiar with the products, the installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Down Blow Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) Units
• Technical area air conditioning units
• Comfort cooling systems
• Fresh air, ventilation, and extraction systems
• Humidification control
• Smoke extract systems
• Building Monitoring systems
• Day to day operation of all HVAC systems
• Develop the Service Level Agreements for the maintenance companies
• Ensuring the correct maintenance procedures are followed:
• Ensure all systems are correctly maintained
• Perform regular system checks
• Maintaining service records and operational documentation
• Monitoring the data center and technical spaces to ensure the correct HVAC conditioning are maintained
• Manage suppliers and vendors and maintain relationships
• Probe and question all aspects of the installation and the process developed

Academic Qualification and Experience 

The candidate should have attained the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Cooling Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of Five (5) years’ work experience in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) environments for technical equipment spaces. At least two (2) years of HVAC experience must have been within a telecommunications environment.
