Asset Manager

A successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Manage maintenance of company equipment, vehicle and machines
• Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet machines
• Track fleet usage and maintain accurate inventory of equipment
• Monitor fuel purchases by administering fuel cards for all vehicles to their respective drivers
• Monitoring and ensuring that motor vehicle licences, permits are in order and ready for usage
• Asset management and record keeping
• Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
• Negotiate with suppliers
• Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspection and maintenance of fleet management
• Monitoring drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
• Manage outgoing and incoming loads of stock

Inherent Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• At least 2 years experience at supervisory level
• Detailed-oriented, good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good knowledge of computer applications
