MECHANIC

Notwane Poultry is a leading commercial egg producer and broiler growing operation in Botswana. The above position exists at our Richmark Farm which is situated in the Tuli Block near the Moletemane village in Central Botswana.The incumbent will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for effectively carrying out all routine mechanical maintenance of all vehicles and equipment for the entire operation.

Outputs:

• Implemented preventative maintenance within area of responsibility.
• Trouble shooting/fault finding.
• Repair and maintain equipment as assigned.
• Planning and organizing.
• Adhere to SHE standard operating procedures and improve as required.
• Procurement and monthly stock count
• Standby duty on a rotational basis

Qualifications and Experience:

The candidate must possess a 4-year apprenticeship training qualification with a reputable institution and have at least 5 years post qualification experience with a proven track record in a similar position. Knowledge and experience in a variety of farm production equipment will be an added advantage. Computer literacy is essential.
