PRODUCTION MANAGER: BROILERS

Notwane Poultry is a leading commercial egg producer and broiler growing operation in Botswana. The above position exists at our Richmark Farm which is situated in the Tuli Block near the Moletemane village in Central Botswana.The incumbent will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for all activities related to the broiler growing operation to achieve the agreed production targets.

Outputs:

• Prepare annual capex and operational budgets
• Production planning and procurement of production inputs
• Implement industry best practice – production, flock health, bio security
• Weekly and monthly reporting of performance against standards
• Stock control
• Adhere to SHE standard operating procedures and improve as required
• Recruit, develop and motivate employees for optimum performance and discipline
• Standby duty on a rotational basis

Qualifications and Experience:

The candidate must possess a diploma or degree in Animal Science and must have at least 5 years experience in a similar position as part of a senior management team.
