BCL’S operations are currently on care and maintenance, following the winding up of the Company in 2016, thus no mining operations are currently taking place. BCL is seeking suitably qualified citizen candidates, who are highly adaptable and resilient, for the following position:

Senior Design Draftsman and Superintendent mining projects

Suitably qualified Design Draughtsman skilled in CADD and MicroStation.

Proven experience in managing of a drawing office and associated equipment, access to and safe digital storage of vital survey and engineering drawing data.

Proven experience in the maintenance and repairs of safety critical mining infrastructure including shaft steelwork, winding plant, dewatering systems, ground handling systems and ventilation.

Proven experience in and ability to manage multi-disciplinary project design, technical specification and implementation. (Mechanical, civil and structural including extreme pressure dewatering systems)

Ability to apply project resource management and control including labour, equipment, material, spares, tools, estimates and costs.

Proven experience in managing project site safety, risk management, risk assessments and safety compliance.

Proven experience to work within limited budgets and ability to use recycled materials in new projects.

Ability to ensuring project quality control and execution to required standards for both surface and underground infrastructure with suitable experience in underground mine conditions and overcoming associated logistical underground constraints.
