Specialist in Liability Insurance is looking for an experience Portfolio Accountant to join their small and dynamic team due to growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Underwriting    

Ensure all cancellations and Refund request forms are up to date

Check claim confirmations and follow up on any non-payment claims

Check unpaid policies and flag to the underwriting team

Extract and pivot Fulcrum bank to balance sheet, import to Safire recon bordereaux

Reconciling and creating monthly Management Accounts

Process journals in Nimbis and ensure account balances

Update OBR sheet (annual payments)

Extract and import broker reports to excel, and import to bordereaux recon

Check and load refunds and authorize payment advice

Reconcile annual payments to the system

Monthly Management Accounting Pack

Monthly Underwriting Report

Annual Financial Statements

Requirements:

Grade 12

Relevant finance Degree (CIMA route preferred)

Short term insurance qualification preferred

5 + years finance related experience with 2+ years specific to insurance Accounting

Advanced Excel

Bordereaux experience

Nimbis experience is an advantage
