GEOLOGIST – Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd (MGM)

Mupane Gold Mining (Pty) Ltd (MGM) is a 100% owned subsidiary of the CanadianTSX Venture exchange listed company GALANE GOLD LTD, a gold producer and explorer with its operations in the Republic of Botswana.

The Mupane gold mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in North Eastern of Botswana. In continuous operation since 2005, MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are on-going to determine if there are further opportunities to develop additional resources.

The company invites applications for the following position:-

GEOLOGIST

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the successful applicant will hold a Tertiary qualification relevant to Geoscience/GIS from a recognized University.

At least 3 years post qualification mining experience, a Background of mining software is desirable and Class B Drivers’License

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate proficiency (knowledge, skill and experience) in the related Geology
• Application of related Geology Management Fundamentals
• Knowledgeable of Drilling (RC and DD)
• Ensuring effective sampling and accurate recording of geological data
• Providing accurate and effective interpretations of geological resources
• Ensuring near mine exploration is performed to fulfil MGM objectives
• Provide accurate updates on mining face positions
• Monitor quality of ore mining by contractors
• Assisting in compiling reports (weekly and monthly)
• Application of geological principles and standards
• Geological Modeling, Mapping and logging
• Knowledge and understanding of the Mines Quarries and Machinery act.
• Adheres to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
