1. LIVESTOCK PROCUREMENT MANAGER (TENABLE IN LOBATSE). (The position repots to Executive Manager Livestock Procurement)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To manage and coordinate the operations of the Livestock Procurement officers, develop and document procurement strategies with the aim of ensuring a reliable and continual supply of quality cattle to the Botswana Meat Commission abattoirs.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Optimal utilisation of plant and equipment by maximising supply of livestock to the commission.
• Innovate development of Livestock Supply Strategy.
• Reduction of Operating costs
• Customer satisfaction
• Minimise cattle producers’ queries on quotas, payments and other livestock marketing logistics.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Business Management, ACCA/CIMA, or equivalence.

EXPERIENCE:

Five years’ experience in Business Management responsible for a major functional area, preferably procurement and logistics. Understanding of Agribusiness finance and business development
