Financial Data Processor in Charge

Job Description

Our Client is looking for a strong Senior Representative in Charge Client Financial Information Processing Services (“FIP”) to lead overall FIP section in all locations. The candidate should be interested in a meaningful career and making a positive difference to our client’s organization and the country’s economy. Their clients need you to advise them, resolve their technical/system accounting issues/processing and help them become and remain compliant. With offices across Botswana, they have a wide range of clients who rely on them and trust them to provide excellent accounting services and advice.

Key requirements include but are not limited to the following:

• Be a qualified/almost qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA) and a member of good standing with BICA
• Have previously worked within a professional accounting organization at senior management level in a similar position or worked as a Processing Consultant or similar, freelance at a high technical level.
• Be a servant leader and be able to lead a diverse team situated in different locations within Botswana.
• Be able to assist develop and implement the organization’s overall strategy as well as the strategy for the FIP Section
• Be growth and results orientated delivering increased revenues and profitability for the FIP Section as well as AccPro as a whole
• Be organized and a clear communicator both within our organization and with our clients and prospective clients
• Be able to relate to a wide range of personalities and views and work well under pressure
• Have an excellent understanding of accounting and corporate tax and VAT principles and their application
• Have a good working knowledge of:
  • QuickBooks Online,
  • Botswana tax legislation and the Botswana Companies Act
  • Microsoft Office, mainly: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• A good working knowledge of Pay Space will be an added advantage
• Be willing to travel regularly within Botswana to meet with fellow AccPro-ites and clients/prospective clients
• Be based either in Gaborone or Maun (location still to be finalized)
• Preference will be given to Citizen applicants
• Successful candidates may be required to produce a credit report and a police clearance
