CHIEF ADMINISTRATION OFFICER I (ACCOUNTS) – 03 SALARY SCALE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Chief Administration Officer I (Accounts) in the Ministry of Communications, Knowledge and Technology Headquarters – Corporate Services.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To oversee, coordinate and execute Financial Management related functions.

DUTIES:

• Ensure that advances are recovered from salaries every month and monitor imprest applications and retirements.
• Ensure that revenue is collected and remitted.
• Attend PAC meetings and ensure that cases are cleared.
• Consolidate Departmental budget within stipulated time and process Virements.
• Facilitate payments to suppliers.
• Monitor issuance of Air and Road Warrants.
• Monitor, update and reconcile below the line register.
• Conduct Performance reviews quarterly.
• Prepare recurrent budget and consolidate the Ministry’s budget.
• Coordinate the process of payroll transaction data.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or Degree in Accounting or its related equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of (8) years’ relevant work experience, two years of which should have been served at the level of D4 salary scale as Chief Administration Officer II (Accounts).

SALARY SCALE: D3 (P266, 340 – P293, 640) per annum LEAVE: 30 Working days per annum

BENEFITS:

Optional contributory medical aid scheme. Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%.

Contributory Pension Fund (Government pays 15% & Employee pays 5%).
