Electrical Engineer (Plant) – MP Mining

Job Description

To plan, coordinate, optimise and manage the provision of electrical services in operations and maintenance of the network and to ensure network availability, quality of supply service, operational safety efficient projects delivery mine-wide, concentrator functions in order to achieve strategic objectives of the department.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering as well as Membership of a professional engineering institution with at least ten (15) years post qualification relevant experience in the power environment and/or Mining industry, five (5) years of which will have been in a senior supervisory role in a system operations/ maintenance environment. Must have good knowledge of HT/LT electrical installations, industrial instrumentation, SCADA, Profibus and Simocode systems and their interface.
