SHEA INTERN – MP Mining

Job Description

• Ensure compliance to occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
• Identify Occupational Health and Safety training needs, develop and implement a training programme.
• Enforce the implementation of risk assessments across the mine.
• Implement the requirements of the emergency preparedness and response plan.
• Partake in incident investigation and develop a programme to ensure non recurrence of incidents.
• Monitor contractors and ensure adherence to the safety programme.

Minimum requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Science or equivalent
• Knowledge, understating of the ISO 45001 standard.
• At least 2 years working experience in the mining environment.
• At least a class B driver’s license
