The Property and Maintenance Manager will develop and implement proactive maintenance programs and be responsible for prioritisation and oversight of works received. The position requires project management of work systems and improvements to workflows, of larger projects and is responsible for the delivery and reporting of reactive, programmed and capital works. The Property and Maintenance Manager will provide strategic advice and support to the Group Chief Executive Officer in relation to overall group property maintenance & improvement of facilities, supervision of allocated staff and the continuous update and improvement systems and processes. The Property and Maintenance Manager will be motivated and enthusiastic, with a great attitude towards problem solving and innovation. They will take pride in their workmanship and have attention to detail. Flexible availability is a requirement, but there may be times when a mutual agreement and understanding is required, this will include being the first contact for after hours, security, emergency, and access requirements.
Job requirements
- Degree in Property Management or related Field
- Experience in property management and maintenance of commercial properties and buildings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
- Demonstrated ability in the coordination and supervision of teams, including the routine timetabling and prioritising of staff and teams.
- Demonstrated time management, planning, communication (oral and written), competent computer skills, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the planning and project management of large construction projects, including the management of contractors.
- Competent computer skills including use of databases, project management templates, Internet and have Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
- A valid class B drivers licence (PRDP added advantage).
