Marketing Communications Specialist – Agile Hospital

Background

a 100% citizen-owned private hospital in Selebi Phikwe will be opening its doors to the public very soon and it is operated by a Group with interests in the healthcare value chain in Botswana.  The hospital shall offer primary healthcare services as well as some specialists services to the residents of the Greater Selebi-Phikwe region and beyond.

Job Profile

We are looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to manage our online and offline communication with clients and increase brand awareness. The marketing communications specialist responsibilities include distributing promotional material, responding to customers’ queries and comments on social media and networking during marketing events. If you have experience in identifying and building long-term relationships with target audiences, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will act as our brand’s voice to impress our customers and attract new clients.

Responsibilities

• To lead the review, refinement, and full development of full Corporate Identity for the organization
• Brand Management strategy with specific plans to develop and create awareness  in the Botswana market.
• Development and delivery of a  “ Go to Market (GTM) Plan which is aimed at creating buzz, excitement and ultimately foot-traffic into the newly established hospital.
• Development of a comprehensive PR and community engage Marketing and Comms/PR Plan for the hospital.
• Development of a PR and Comms Plan ( which includes stakeholder engagements) for the hospital taking into consideration the history and market conditions.
• Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels
• Advertise our company and products/services on various media, especially digital media
• Track ROI for marketing communications campaigns
• Monitor corporate website and social media pages and address clients’ queries
• Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness
• Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist or similar role
• Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns
• Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
• Experience with marketing campaigns on social media
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good presentation skills

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor degree in marketing management , public relations , communications or equivalent
• A post graduate qualification would be an advantage
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the service industry and hospital and or healthcare would be an added advantage
• Experience in a start-up environment would be an added advantage

The position is initially on  6-month fixed term contract with an opportunity to be permanent depending on the performance in the contract period.  It is tenable immediately  in Selebi Phikwe and open to only citizens of Botswana.
