CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – De Beers Group

A gem of an opportunity exists in Gaborone. Botswana for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a solid international track record gained in multinational blue-chip companies. This executive role with a remit cutting across business units locally, regionally and internationally will suit a seasoned CFO with an illustrious career which has been notable for leadership competence and technical prowess.

Reporting to the De Beers Group CFO. the candidate will drive business financial performance through provision of prudent financial management, business performance analysis and information management. In addition, will ensure strong financial controls, oversee robustness of financial and commercial processes, policies and governance structures. The candidate is expected to lead and coordinate the development of financial reporting; commercial analysis; risk management; budgeting and forecasting amongst others. The breadth and scope of the role includes serving on several boards of De Beers Group subsidiaries and providing broad oversight.

Qualifications required include an undergraduate Financial/Accounting certification (Bachelor’s or Honours degree or equivalent) together with professional Accounting qualification in CIMA/ ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent. Extensive experience (+15 years) within a complex international business environment where leadership capability and know how has been challenged is essential.
