HANDYMAN – Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd

Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy for fully qualified and experienced Handyman at its Feed Mill, Nutri Feeds Botswana in Pilane.

Key responsibilities will include:

•  Complete all civil maintenance tasks as instructed by your supervisor.
• Complete all maintenance tasks as instructed by your supervisor.
• Replace worn ceilings around the plant.
• Perform regular inspections and upkeep of buildings and systems, ensuring they remain in good working condition (e.g. cleaning gutters, changing lightbulbs, painting and coating buildings and structure).
• Drawing sketches of proposed projects wherever necessary and as instructed by the supervisor.
• Do/complete any other task as operationally required by the company at any time such as light repairs, general carpeting & painting (roof painting, steel structure painting & general painting tasks), paving, partitioning of office spaces, stores and other spaces as maybe tasked from time to time, identify and report the need for major repairs etc.
• Assist the maintenance artisans in elevating structures or projects as maybe instructed by the supervisor from time to time.
• Ensure that the workshop area and any other area you are working on/with is kept clean and meets the required housekeeping standards.

To qualify for the position, candidates will require the following:

•  2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Competency in general brickwork & concrete work
• Competency in general carpentry work
• Competency in general plumbing as well as painting
• Knowledgeable drawing sketches of buildings and structures (civil works).
