Laboratory Sampler – MP Mining

Job Description

• Collect Control Samples streams from the Process plant.
• Receive Geology samples and confirms the actual submitted samples and record in log sheet
• Sorts samples and assign unique laboratory identification numbers as per procedure
• Prepare samples as per procedure through different stages.
• Transfer prepared samples into well labelled sample packets, deliver for analysis and store analysed samples as per procedure.
• Ensure Gravimetric analysis for moisture determination on mill feed
• Responsible for checking the pulverising mill efficiency by performing particle size distribution analysis with sum of fractions
• Follows all laid down control procedures.
• Discarding of samples transcending the retention period
• Participates in all relevant company, departmental, sectional and unit SHEA and housekeeping initiatives as stipulated in the set of company/section procedures.
• Complies with SHEA policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• BGCSE with passes in Mathematics and Science Training as added advantage
• At least 4-years’ experience in a Base Metal Analytical Laboratory
•  ISO 17025 understanding training
•  Sampling and Analytical skills
•  Equipment operation
•  Computer skills
•  Quality control knowledge
