INTERNAL AUDITOR

Amigear Ventures (Pty) Ltd is a leading commercial Egg producer and Broiler growing operation in Botswana. We are currently seeking an Internal Auditor to join our growing team and support the organization in strengthening internal controls, risk management, and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Finance Director the incumbent will be responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and ensuring the organization adheres to regulatory and internal policy frameworks. Duties include:
Identify and evaluate risks within the organization.
• Assess the adequacy of internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Review business processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions by management.
• Investigate suspected fraud and develop proactive strategies to prevent it.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with IT policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, and must be a qualified member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
• Additional certifications such as ACCA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant professional credentials will be considered an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance.
• Proven track record of delivering audit assignments independently.
