AIR-CORE DRILLING SPECIALIST -Mitchell Drilling Botswana

Mitchell Drilling Botswana (MDB) and its subsidiary, Simolola Drilling Services, are leading drilling services providers dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and innovative drilling programs. Our team consists of seasoned Technical Drill Coordinators, Drill Rig Operators, Drill Rig Equipment Mechanics, and Drill Safety Coordinators with extensive experience in managing drilling contracts.
In order to meet its contractual obligations and to provide efficient and innovative Drilling services in Botswana. We are currently seeking an Air-Core Drilling Specialist to join our team in Botswana.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee air-core drilling operations in remote field camps to ensure safety, efficiency, and project timelines are met.
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers and supplies for technical support and continuous operational improvements.
• Conduct detailed inspections and maintenance planning for drilling rigs and associated machinery.
• Provide onsite training, mentorship, and supervision of drilling teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Assist with the development and implementation of standards operating procedures (SOPs) for drilling activities.

Experience & Competency Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of experience with the technical, mechanical, administrative, drilling and operational requirements and logistics of large drilling field camps in remote locations. A sound knowledge of drilling equipment such as Air Core Drill Rigs.

Requirement Qualifications:

• A minimum of qualification or equivalent experience in Air-Core Drilling, with references and certifications to support.
• Advanced Drilling Certificate/ Level 4 Drilling Certificate (or equivalent)
• Proven track record in project management of Large drilling projects in different environments is a must.
• Valid drivers license and ability to work in remote areas for extended periods.
