CALL CENTRE INSUARANCE AGENT

Requirements:

• A recognized Higher National Diploma (or equivalent).
• Degree in a related field will be an advantage.
• Successfully completed COP (Short Term and Long Term).
– Must be able to work variable shifts.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Experience:

• At least 6 months of Call Centre experience (inbound and outbound).• At least 1 year of experience selling short- and long-term insurance.
• Previous experience working in a financial/insurance institution and retail will be an added advantage.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
• Fluent in English and Setswana.
• Computer Literate in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and good typing skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, especially during peak hours or intense situations.
• A strong can-do attitude and an energetic positive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player but able to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of Botswana Insurance Legislation.

Role Purpose:

• To handle inbound and outbound calls from branches and offer insurance to customers in their preferred language strictly according to the approved script and company procedures.
• To act firmly and professionally to ensure the interests of both the customer and Lewis are protected.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Handle and manage inbound and outbound customer calls.
• Provide factual information about the company’s insurance products underwritten by Old Mutual to customers in line with policies and procedures.
• Maintain a database of customer calls and insurance sales conducted.
• Ensure that all requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary inspection and the completion of necessary forms by the customer at the branch.
• Ensure confirmation of call forms are received from branches daily.
• Reconciling and filling of scripts daily.
• General office duties.
