Role Summary:

Estate Construction (Pty) Ltd is seeking a visionary and results-driven Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee the financial strategy and operations of the company. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall strategic decision-making of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

2. Financial Management:

• Lead and manage all aspects of financial operations including accounting, treasury, and tax.
• Monitor and ensure the integrity of financial statements and reporting.
• Oversee internal controls and risk management processes.

3. Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other financial institutions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team across the group.
• Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Manage relationships with shareholders, banks, and investors.
• Support business units with financial insights and decision-making tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA).
• Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
• Proven experience in construction or related industries is highly advantageous
• Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial management software and systems.
