Senior PABX Technician – Devaki

Reporting to the Director – Sales & Operation, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex PABX systems and related voice and data infrastructure. The role includes ensuring high-quality technical service delivery, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting clients with reliable and efficient telecommunications solutions.

Purpose of the Job

To provide expert-level technical support in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PABX, VoIP, and unified communications systems. The Senior Technician will serve as a key contact for client installations, system upgrades, and troubleshooting, while also training junior team members to strengthen in-house capabilities. The role requires excellent time management, attention to detail, and strong customer engagement to ensure seamless delivery of communication systems.

Essential Functions & Main Duties

•Installation, testing, and commissioning of PABX, IP voice, and VoIP systems (Yeastar, Yealink, Panasonic, Samsung, etc.).

•Troubleshooting and maintenance of existing systems and networked voice/data infrastructure.

•Installation and testing of data cabling and setting up of voice & data networks.

•Liaise with new and existing clients to provide product advice and technical support.

•Provide documentation, daily reporting, and administrative records related to service calls and installations.

•Train, mentor, and oversee junior technicians to ensure team development.

•Stay up to date with product updates, firmware, and best practices in the ICT and VOIP sector.

•Maintain the highest level of professionalism and commitment both internally and externally.

•Demonstrate effective time management and problem-solving abilities.

•Consistently deliver work with precision and attention to detail.

•Be punctual and dependable.

Qualifications & Experience Required

•Diploma or higher qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, or a related technical discipline.

•20+ years of hands-on experience in the installation and support of PABX and VoIP systems.

•Certified and trained in:

•Yeastar (YSCT, YSCS, YSCIS, YCCA)

•Yealink (Voice & Video Conferencing products – YLS IP / YJC IP)

•VoIP/SIP Trunk installations

•Panasonic and Samsung PBX systems

•Proven track record in delivering large-scale installations and complex troubleshooting.

•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to clients.

•Ability to mentor and lead junior team members.

•Advanced knowledge of voice and data systems.

•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

•Excellent client-facing skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.

•Strong documentation and reporting skills.

•High level of integrity and responsibility.
