We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Superintendent – Yellow Metal to join our team and lead yellow metal maintenance operations on-site in Botswana.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and servicing of yellow metal plant and mobile equipment
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime across all shifts
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, fault-finding, and emergency breakdown responses
• Manage spares procurement, stock control, and workshop resource planning in line with budget expectations
• Support plant audits, ATK fault tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and mentor workshop and maintenance teams with a strong safety and production culture

Minimum Requirements

• Trade-Tested Diesel Mechanic qualification
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in yellow metal maintenance, including CAT, Volvo and John Deere fleet
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or plant superintendent role, preferably within mining or large-scale construction environments
• Proven experience with preventive maintenance systems, technical reporting, and spares planning
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and legal compliance in plant operations
• Willingness to be based on-site in Botswana and work rotational shifts

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who thrives in high-pressure environments, with field experience across Southern and Central Africa. Advanced diagnostic and management skills with complex fleets, including graders, dozers, excavators and agricultural equipment, will be an advantage. Proven ability to manage teams, drive KPIs, and reduce downtime will be essential.
