Assistant Accountant – Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd

Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd  requires the services of a partly qualified and experienced Assistant Accountant for its Finance department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of weekly Financial report
• Preparation of Daily Financial report
• Preparation / review of periodic accounts reconciliations
• Trial Balance and general ledger maintenance
• Coordinate and drive monthly stock count procedures
• Monitor and prepare daily / monthly stock reconciliations
• Manage supplier accounts and reconciliations
• Fixed asset management
• Supervising junior staff members in the admin and finance department
• Preparation of analyses and reports for decision making and group reporting
• Assist internal and external audits
• Review monthly payments

The prospective candidate must possess the following attributes

• AAT/ Degree in Accounting or related field
• Pursuing professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Active membership with BICA at the applicable category
• Prior experience of at least 2 years in the position of an Assistant accountant/ an Auditor
• Hands on experience in one of the reputed ERP or Accounting application
• Must be proficient in MS Excel
• Good knowledge in other MS Office applications
• Good knowledge and Creditor, Debtors and Inventory management
