Recruitment of Site Construction Staff to Participate in the Works and Services Contracts Associated with Works Package DMS (1) – Construction of a Permanent Office and 15No Staff Houses with Associated External Works under the Civil Works Project for the Reconstruction of the Nata-Gweta Road.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Building Quality Inspector / Clerk of Works to oversee all aspects of our construction project in Nata Village, Botswana. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection and supervision of all works, while upholding safety and quality standards as per local and international practice norms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspecting construction work and comparing it with drawings and specifications
• Measuring and checking quality of building materials
• Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the construction manager, architect, and client
• Keeping detailed records of work and working between office and site
• Referring to plans and taking photographs of work, along with measurements and samples
• Liaising with contractor, engineers, and surveyors
• Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met

REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• NCC/HND in Buildings, Civil Construction, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Quality Inspector / Clerk of Works in small, medium to large-scale projects
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and inspection
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Building inspection certification will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
