Mascom is looking for a Privacy & Data Protection Specialist. The primary purpose of this job is to undertake activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy and protection of, and access to, subscriber information in compliance with laws, telecoms regulations and the organization’s information privacy practices.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Law or Information Technology/Computer Science Degree or related field of study.

• Professional Certification in Data Protection e.g. Certified Data Protection Officer with education and experience relative to the size and scope of the organization.

• Information security certifications would be advantageous.

• Minimum five (5) years of practical work experience, with at least three (3) years in relevant sector/industry area of specialization and at least one (1) year must have been in a senior officer/supervisory role in areas of specialization.

• Experience working in a medium to large organization.

• Good knowledge of the telecommunication industry, its standards and regulations would be advantageous.

• Preferred industries include Telecommunications, Banking, Financial Services, Information Technology (IT) etc.
