ACCOUNTANT – RCI

VACANCY 

Renal Care Institute is a medium sized specialized kidney Health Clinic operating in Botswana. We have a vacancy for an accountant.
The incumbent will be reporting to the finance manager, the accountant will be responsible for Revenue, Expenditure and Balance sheet items such as maintenance of the asset register, accounts receivables aging and accounts payable aging analysis. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and financial manuals that guides management of the hospital income statement and balance sheet.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Works with other members of the accounting and other teams to come up with the best financial plans for revenue generation and management of the same.

• Analyses financial information and make projections for the Company

• Carry out business determinations for payments made outside Company’s financial system

• Works with and influences other financial and non-financial Departments in the Company

• See to it that all payments are made on time

• Supervises financial audit and oversees the implementation of audit recommendations

• Safeguards the company assets among others by ensuring among others

• Constantly update tracking sheets for revenues

• Submitting records of accounts reconciliations to management as stipulated

• Balancing bank and company accounts

• Overseeing the effective collection of financial records and reports of various departments and keeping excellent financial records

• Inspecting balance sheet and correct errors where available

• Maintaining accounting standards and style of the Company

• Handling the checks and balances of revenues generated in an organization

• Inspect all activities of general ledger in all departments in the Company

• An expert in finance, pays close attention to accounts receivables in the Company

• Balance various accounts properly; revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, petty cash, and fixed assets.

Works directly with the billing department and ensures that all payments by patients and medical aids duly received on time as agreed without delay.

• Oversees the compilation and inspect company financial statements at the end of every month and ensures that it is accurate and well detailed for comprehension.

• Oversees the management and monitoring of patient accounts

QUALIFICATION

AAT/Degree in Accounting or Finance supported by professional accounting qualification such as BICA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

5 years post qualification experience and experience in using SAGE or any Accounting application for a medium size company is essential.
