BUSINESS ARCHITECT SPECIALIST – Republic Of Botswana

VACANCY 

Applications are invited from talented, decisive and self-driven qualified citizens of Botswana to fill the above vacancy tenable at the Ministry of Communications and Innovation-Digital Transformation Coordination Office- On Contract basis.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To analyse the business objectives and operation of all Ministries and Independent department through the aid of business analysis frameworks and related networks.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Interprets government online services policies for various stakeholders.

• Addresses customer queries and concerns on business architect issues.

• Develops and implements a business architecture strategy for public agencies.

• Identifies and keeps records of strategic business goals that provide traceability of public agencies to ensure monitoring of progress towards achieving them.

• Identifies and categorises business functions for ministries and department as customer facing, supplier related, business execution and management function to allow effective use of ICT’s in support business objectives.

• Identifies and documents data flows between public agencies in order to inform the deployment of ICTs that effectively drive business.

• Prepares progress reports of recurrent budget estimates to business architect function for management.

• Contributes to the preparation of recurrent budget estimates and development budget for the function.

• Manages utilization of the budget for the function.

• Monitors compliance and adherence to government financial regulations and instruments.

• Monitors provision of information required to address audit queries.

• Keeps abreast with the latest information technology trends and practices.

• Maintains technical knowledge by attending Enterprise Architecture workshops and constantly reviewing publications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering or System Design or Computer Engineering. Masters in Science or above will be added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

At least twelve (12) year’s experience in system design environment, 2 of which should have been in managing small to medium sized teams in system design environment.
