FOOD AND BEVERAGES CONTROLLER – FAIRGROUND HOLDINGS

Fairground Holdings (Pty) Ltd t/a Botswana Conference & Exhibition Centre is a leading and largest provider of a one-stop venue for meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) in Botswana. The company seeks a self-driven, innovative, highly experienced professional capable of creating and implementing innovative business strategies with a high level of integrity and accountability.

Main Purpose of the Job

Ensures all stock transactions are recorded and fully accounted for and maintains adequate stock levels.

Key Performance Areas

• Implements business plans derived from FGH’s overall strategy to effectively manage the food and beverage stock controls and ensure that corporate objectives are met.

• Ensures competitive purchase prices for food and beverages.

• Takes responsibility for ensuring proper stock rotation and that issues are made on a first-in, first-out basis to reduce wastage and costs.

• Ensures the availability of inventory for functions, including opening and closing inventories, and accurate bar summaries.

• Generates orders for the procurement of beverages and food supplies to the Procurement Specialist.

• Assists with the completion of monthly forecast for stock control purposes and ensures the completion of monthly inventory.

• Prepares and develops Food and Beverage stock control reports.

• Responsible for stock records systems and ensures that they are accurate and up-to-date.

• Checks that all issues for supplies are made against requisitions, and that no items leave the storage room without the appropriate documentation and approval.

Minimum Requirements

• A Diploma in Procurement/Purchasing and Supply/Supply chain management or an equivalent related qualification

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in stock control/procurement, preferably in a hospitality environment.
