POSITION: MANAGER/CURATOR, KGOSI BATHOEN II MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Kgosi Bathoen II Museum is a non-profit making Organization with a role to create awareness and promote Culture and Heritage in the Southern Region, with the aim of researching and preserving the histories and lives of the people of the region as well as collecting the associated cultural materials.

The organization also seeks to elevate the creative industries by providing a platform for showcasing Arts, Culture and Crafts in the region.

Kgosi Bathoen II Museum is seeking a dynamic individual who will lead the organization to achieve the above mandate as well as add new operational strategy to the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities of KB I| MUSEUM Manager/Curator

• Strategic Management and Organizational Development
• Curation and promotion of Creative Arts
• Business Development Services
• Staff Management
• Operations and Logistics Management

Experience, Educational and Training Qualifications

A Humanities Degree from an accredited University or College with additional background in any of the following subjects: Heritage studies, Archeological studies, Museum Studies, Sociology, Fine Arts and any Museum related discipline and business environment.

Experience

The prospective Museum Manager/Curator should have at least five years experience in a similar environment and position.

The following are added advantages:

• Residence or prior knowledge of working in the Southern Region.
• Skills Studies and/or experience in project management
• Possession of entrepreneurial skills

SALARY: C2 (P120 000 – P144 00 per annum)

LEAVE: 25 working days per annum
