Our Client Botswana Unified Revenue Services(BURS) is the country’s agency for tax assessments and collection, and aims to lead the way in revenue mobilaization and boarder management. BURS is currently seeking to attract a strategic, result oriented and self-driven Human Resources professional with integrity ON CONTRACT BASIS to be part of their executive team.
The Purpose of this job is to develop and provide a wide range of HR management strategies , best practices, policies and procedures for effective management of Human resources

Reporting to the Commissioner General, this position will be responsible for, among other thing the following:
- Formulation of adherence to HR policies, practices and procedures aligned to organisational strategies and objectives.
- Give advice and assistance to BURS divisions, departments and regions to facilitate the development and retention of a productive labour force.
- Ensure the equitable implementation of the organisation’s terms and conditions of employment, policies and practices, industrial relations and staff welfare.
- Pro-actively promote a positive working environment and the values of BURS.
- Contribute to the achievement of BURS’strategic and operational objectives and revenues maximazation and the establishment of BURS as an Employer of Choice.
Requirements
Qualifications And Experience
- A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related qualifications.
- A Masters Degree and Membership of an appropriate professional HR institute are an added advantage.
- At least 10 years experience in Human Resources Management, 2 years which should have been at the level of General Manager or equivalent in a major organisation, with detailed hands on experience in Botswana labor laws and practice and an understanding of employment practices.
