We are looking for an experienced Credit Administration Officer to manage and lead the credit administration function, credit related transactions and the loans disbursement process within the finance department specifically.
As a CAO, you should be able to manage and sustain staff relationships. You should also lead the Credit Administration function and help in achieving quantifiable results.
You should make effective decisions considering the credit policy. You should also possess experience in finance, collections and more specifically credit. This role will assist to reduce the company’s credit risk in order to increase revenues from loans.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review affordability assessments and compliance to credit policies,
- Review the refund payments prior to actual disbursement and all new and top-up loan disbursements.
- Maintain all the records of the credit payments.
- Discuss loan parameters with the loan processing department & the finance manager
- Review of debit or credit adjustments to customer accounts
- Review existing reports and create new credit reports and present to senior management.
- Predict risks by monitoring & evaluating credit process flows and credit policy requirements.
- Evaluate interest rates, compared to industry competitors
- Update and review the company’s credit policies.
- Coach and give guidance to the sales team & loan processing department.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking, Finance or relevant field
- 3 – 5 years’ experience of working as a Credit Officer, Credit Supervisor or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of lending procedures and the credit environment
- Excellent understanding of work control and leadership policies.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
- Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, accounting software.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good time management abilities.
- Strong decision-making skills.
