Essential/Basic Qualifications
Main Accountabilities
• Perform detailed analysis of an Agricultural entity’s production levels, climatic conditions, financial and managerial ability, financial performance and borrowing requirements.
• Together with the Relationship Managers and Credit, review existing Agri client facilities and assist (Credit Restructuring Measures) in line with the sector where necessary.
• Conduct a client needs analysis as frequently as needed.
• Identify and analyse risk through interaction with role players in the Agricultural Sector.
• Do portfolio performance review and advice stakeholders on the actions to take.
• Assist Training and Development in compiling Agri training material for training of all staff with Agri clients or involved in Agri Business .
• Proactively interact with stakeholders e.g. product/ solutions experts, agricultural economists, primary and secondary Agri clients and co-operatives to obtain ideas and information for product development.
• Manage and maintain cordial relationships with Coverage and all other Key Stakeholders. .
• Develop the Agri Business strategy and Identify opportunities within the agricultural industry value chain for growth opportunities, cross-selling, new innovations or solutioning opportunities.
• Conduct a gap analysis of current products used by the agricultural clients against the typical agricultural products and advise the Relationship Managers of potential opportunities for cross selling and product improvement.
• Take co-responsibility for the growth of the Agri book and portfolio as per regional targets.
• Based on interaction with and feedback received from clients and key stakeholders, advise product development teams of new product innovations required in the Agri Sector.
• Assist with identifying, proposing and executing on projects to assist small scale farmers in a responsible and sustainable way.
