PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR – NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT BANK

POSITION OVERVIEW

The position is responsible for the coordination of programme activities and ensuring that approved projects and key milestones are Implemented in line with the business strategy. It reports to the Strategy Manager and is tenable in Gaborone.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• To monitor project management activities, programme level management activities, operations of the Project Management Office (PMO) as well as evaluating progress towards pre-defined objectives.
• To coordinate the administrative component of the Programme Management Office.
• To ensure registration of projects based on the NDB strategic priorities, identify and manage risks, dependencies and other project issues.
• To report on project progress to Business Units or project governance committees.
• To facilitate implementation of NDB Change Management Framework to relevant projects.
• To manage and report on the financial performance of the projects sitting underneath the Programme Management Office.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Degree in Banking. Economics. Finance. Business Administration or any closely related field.
• Relevant professional qualification (i.e. Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner)
• At least 4-6 years’ experience in relevant field
• Thorough knowledge of business project evaluation and appraisal.
